Getting a badge off

Hi just a quick question, whats the easiest and cleanest way to remove a badge without leaving marks or damaging the body? I've just gotten a green 97 civic coupe. Dont have much doe to go on...where's the best place to start?

Use a blowdryer or heat gun, heat up the adhesive behind the badge then put dental floss or fishing line behind and pull it down so it pulls through the adhesive

There will still be a residue of little sticky pieces... I used WD40 and a rag after the hairdryer and it helped, but still didn't wipe it all off. I just sat there scraping away with my fingernail for a while.

You can use 3M Adhesive remover..it's safer than a fingernail, lol. Spray it on, let it sit for a minute, and the get a soft cloth and wide it off...it will help lift/remove the stuck on adhsive nicely. When you are done, apply a little car polish by hand to the area to spruce it back up, as it dulls the finish a bit. It's nothing major, like I said, it will polish out by hand.

Another way is to use hot water to soften the Adhesive, remove the badge with fishing line as described above and rub away the the rest of the adhesive with a damp cloth, If it's the "H" Badge you're removing, you will be left with two holes in the body where the badge used to sit, in this case, don't worry about the adhesive because your gonna have to sand down the area around the Badge in order to fill the holes. it's a fairly simple job, but if your unsure then talk to a professional

You shouldn't have paint bubbling problems with a blow dryer. If you ise a Heat gun and let it sit there too long, etc...this is possible, but it is very very hard to do this with a blow dryer. If you use a blow dryer or a heat gun, just be careful. If you exercise commen sense, you should be okay with that.

use googone to get off the residue. let it sit for a couple minutes and it will wipe off easily. this is what i did.
