You probably cooked the battery cable by cranking it for too long.
Or you connected the battery backwards ?
You haven't given enough info of what you actually did besides crawl around, for anyone here to be able to help, sorry.

ok when i was crawling around i was knealing down on the battery and that might be problem i did crank it for a while.. But hey i remember that i took that piece were all the spark plug wires join together and i did have them all back in the same place but then when i remebered that i had too replace the rotor i just riped them off >:( so when your looking at it does any body know the right order that the plugs should go in so far i only have the middle one right. but is there some way that i can find out how they go. and another thing umm will the battery be ok.... and just so that i stop worring about it what are the chances of my jimmy ever starting again??? cuz i have 5 other cars that did the same thing i know i seem stupid but i gotta learn right is that enough info????

Start by putting the engine back on the timing mark so that number one cylinder is in firing position, then just go the direction the rotor turns using the firing order cast into the intake or block someplace, or look it up online, you still haven't told anyone which engine it is, so I'll guess that its a 4.3 V6 ?? so the firing order is 165432. When it starts close the hood and never open it again.

alright Thanks, yea last night i sat down and went thru every thing i did and i solved it. When i was trying to start it, obviously it wouldnt cuz the firing timing was way off, but when i kept trying to start it i blew my starter and fried the battery, hehehe, i was dumb of me But i was in a panic cuz i had a date that night at all that bull crap so i screwed up big time thanks fordman and youll here back from me when i rebuild my truck next month, putting hydraulics and a whole new engine in it. hey do you know if a corvette engine will fit?? i think i seen it some where and a kid put a ferrari engine in a jimmy, too
