working on rotaries

Sorry if this question has been asked before and I'm sure it has, but is it hard to learn how to work on rotaries? I'm thinking about buying an 87 and I've done a little research and I've heard that these cars can get expensive if you dont maintain them.

Unless you blow a seal the motor itself doesn't actually get worked on. Everything attached to it is what you'd be tinkering with. Of course if you blow a seal the whole thing has to come out and be rebuilt. Just keep doing your research and see if you hold interest. This is a good site to check out (assuming not-turbo):

Thanks, as you can probably tell right now I don't know a lot, but the little I do know is making me more interested, and you have to start somewhere right?

Of course! Don't be afraid. With TLC the 7 will last like any other car. Well, not all of them. ;)
