I think that happen to me after i tried to put in the radio code too many times. Try dissconnecting the battery, and wait for a while, and try it again.

yea your in a bitch of a situation . i had the same problem with mine stock stereo when i put it back in. every head unit has a different custom code and the only person that can get it is if you take it to a mitsubishi dealership and it has to have the serial number on it so they can pull the code. as far as it saying off...the way to reset that is to plug it in and you have to leave the car on for like an hour, hour and a half till it resets and then you can input the code again. but make sure you have the code from the dealership because you only have thre trys and then after that it will say off again and theres no way to reset it except send it in to mitsubishi and they have to reset it and it will run you like 200 bucks. so go down to the mitsubishi dealership (the parts guy can get you the code the easiest) and get the code for it (make sure you ethier have the head unit there or you have the serial number with you) then go home plug it in leave it alone till it resets and then enter the code the dealership gave you and it will work

Make sure satan does not screw you over. The first dealer I called told me that they cant do it and that they need to do it themselves and it would cost me $75. So after a couple of days, i called another dealer and they told me that all i needed was the S/N. So i took a couple of screw out and got the S/N and they gave it to me over the phone.
