What are the best Springs?

What are the best springs?? I want something with less than a 2 inch drop and wont cause a bumpy ride. The three springs I'm seeing the most on the forum are Eibach pro kits, Goldlines, and Yellows. Are they all the same performance wise? Cuz if they are, I'm going to go with what is cheapest. They're going to go with KYB AGX shocks, unless someone else has another suggestion.

Koni yellows are good shocks, and H & R springs are my recommendation for springs. Moving this to the Honda/Acura Suspension/Wheels forum might help you a bit in your quest for answers too.

I agree with H&R. Pretty much all of my friends run on H&R race, OE or the cup kit.

eibach sportline springs w/ kyb agx shocks are the shit. thats what i have and is a great setup. I reccomend it very much! All my friends got eibach for springs.

I wanted a mild drop so that it wouldn’t compromise the ride too much, so I was recommended the Tein S.Tech spring with Tokico HP series (blue) shocks. Installed, it gave me a 1.5” drop and a huge handling improvement over stock without having to feel every rock, crack and bump on the road.

ive been mobbin the tein s.tech's for about a year now w/o aftermarket shocks. had to purchase front camber kit tho. the ride is great, i get motion sickness in my buddy's 98 stang gt with intrax lowering springs.....worst ride ever. but yah, ive been having fantastic luck with the 'dress up masters.' LOL :2cents:

I believe that Tein S Tech has a 2-year guarentee where they guarentee no more than 1/4" sag with their S Tech springs in the 2-year period. H & R springs are guarenteed against any sag, guarenteed to have no sag, by H & R. I am in no way knocking Tein's higher end products, they make quality stuff...but as far regular old springs go, I'll take H & R, the one that guarentees no sag. H & R makes high quality products. I'm not sayin Tein is bad, I just feel that with S Tech vs H & R, H & R is better in the better product in this case. Still, the Tein's a better choice than crap like dropzone.

I'd go with H & R over the pro-kit, I like the handling better, and the sport springs (not OE Sport) give you a little lower of a drop than the pro-kit. Usually 1.5-1.75" The prokit's 1-1.25" drop leave too much gap, IMO. Plus, like I said, I just like the H & R's better on the road, plus the no-sag ever guarentee is there if you worry about that. I'm not terribly fond of the pro-kit, as you can tell. The H & R's give you a better drop and ride for the money, IMO.

Naw forget that! Eibach SPORTLINES are CRAP!! I had then for two years with koni reds(which have Excellet rebound) and then with Tokico Hp. And the ride was sh*t. I took then out and put in some H&R springs.couldn't be happy..er....But then I just bought some GC, and too me they seem a little more smoother ride then the H&R. And yes I know that GC uses Eibach springs!!!! But their Not SPORTLINES OR PRO KITS SPRINGS!!!

IMO = In My Opinion...lol. Sag is just what it sounds like, the springs "sag" down...think droop down...sag is bad. You want to look for springs that don't Sag...H & R's don't sag much at all, and as you've read in here, many people recommend them. They are very good springs, and don't sag and droop like many other inferior ones you see out there. Adjustable shocks are good because you can adjust the stiffness setting of the shock absorber, you can adjust the rebound, etc. If you change your stock springs for springs or coilovers, you need to change your shocks also. The stock shocks will go out very quickly when you lower the car, so when you change the stock springs for lowering springs or coilovers, you need to change the shocks too. Also, the car doesn't come stock from the factory with coilovers, it comes with springs, lol. Coilvers are "adjustable hight...in general, unless they are fully threaded coilovers on the shock body (think high end Tein), coilovers give you a crappy ride. A good set or springs (like H & R) are better than "coilovers" like skunk 2. They will give you a better ride. (fully threaded shocks and coilovers, like the H & R cup kit are good, but expensive, don't confuse these with "crappy" coilovers like skunk2 and the other commen ones you see). I hope this helps you out a bit.
