Ball joint question......

just out of curiosity what are you best methods of ckecking for bad balljoints 2 or 4 wheel drive 1/2 to 1 ton , dont matter . dont have an alignment rack any info would be great...

well you can take a look at the Haynes manual or similar. If I recall correctly, jack up the front. grasp top and bottom of tire and check for play. if you grasp front and rear of tire and check for play that is for tie rod wear. you might check with the manuals.
