Good Kill I Love To Hear That. Last Night My Friend And I Were Just Cruising Down The Street In My 94 Del Sol I Just Finished Swapping A 2000 Jdm Itr Motor. I Have No Name Intake For Now, Thermal Exhaust And Ls Headers ( Waiting For My Type R's) Anyways We Are All Juiced Cause It Took Like 4 Months To Do. It Gets Up Really Freaking Quick. So My Friend Is Like Lets Go Find A V-8 And Put It To The Test. We Were Just Trying To Find A Mustang But Ran Into To This 2000 Ss. We Roll Next To Him And He Is Like That Shit Is Weak. So I Was Like Lets Go On 3 We Go He Pulls On Us But Only Like Half A Car Then We Shut It Down. Plus My Friend Was Driving And He Is Not Use To My Car Let A Lone I Need A Wheel Alignment Really Bad And I Am Not Lowered. I Think I Could Of Kept Up With Him

I'm sorry I find this VERY hard to believe, look at the guy's profile only 4 posts and eveyone believes his story? I don't like to call BS on racing stories but on this one I would have to, for a n/a 4cyl to beat a 400hp engine without a turbo or other power adder it's very hard to believeeven with ported heads and aggressive cams.

That webpage says. "REPRESENTING THE FASTEST N/A 1/4 MILE SPORT COMPACT STREET CLASS CARS IN THE WORLD". So this guy just happenend to run into one of those 23 Cars on the street. Also those cars are all running slicks this guy said that car was very sleeper lookin so thier would be no slicks so that would definetly hurt the times that guy would pull on the street. Also these are times pulled by professional drivers who have had countless trips down the 1320 with lot's of fine tuning and practice. Just cause one of these guys have ripped a mid 11's second 1/4 mile in the car you through me or you behind it we'd be lucky to get into low 12's with 10 trips down the 1320.

It's like me saying cause there are modded 03 Cobra's running in the 9's every modded 03 Cobra on the street runs 9's. It's a one in a million situation your trying suggest.

Yes, these are purposefully build street cars. Yes theyre on slicks. But these are built for the leagues rules for street cars. Is every 9 second mustang registered in a drag class? No, and neither are hondas/acuras. Its a street car.

Ive met drivers who are damn good and beat the advertised 1/4 mile times for their cars in stock form (absolutely no mods).

and high 12's/low 13's are way different than 11's/ low 12's on a street car.

Hah hah by no means am i looking for a domestic/import arguement, because by no means am i bias. I just stated a fact that there are 12 second all motor hondas out there.

I agree that those are rare and the actual ones you linked will most likely NOT be found on streets. HOWEVER, there will be a very fast import every now and then, so I don't don't see why domestic owners get their panties all in a bunch over such stories. The majority of the time American Muscle, mostly Cobras, Z28s, Trans Ams, and Vipers too obviously, will dominate. sucks, but thats just how it is

By the way I dont hate domestics, except for convertible 94-98 GTs. (personal thing). I actually like Trans Ams and Z28s. And actually most of the people that were shocked were imports, so that statement wasn't really directed at anybody in here... I was just saying. :smile:

A guy that I know, through his brother, has a supercharged 99 cobra and he is putting down 466whp (with other mods). He should be beating everything on the road (this is south alabama) right? He's never been to the track, and all we have is 1/8th mile anyway, but if he did, and he showed people his timeslip they would probably think he was n/a with minor bolt ons. He absolutely sucks at driving. I think that it's pretty safe to say that It's hard to keep traction in a car with 400+hp and even more torque, so I can't blame it all on his bad driving. I wouldn't do any better. But everyone can agree that it would be hard to hook up the mustang in the story.

I don't know about ls/vtecs in integras, but most EG and EK civics with LS/vtec setups dip into the high 13s with a relatively decent driver and in stock form. If this guy is modded, I don't know because the link didn't work, then he could be tapping into the high-mid 13s. So I think the story is feasable. I don't believe it, but that's just because the link doesn't work :p

I made a point that there are street hondas that run in the 12's. And believe it or not a handful of them run 93 octane. There are ls/vtec's and crvtecs out there that are putting out 300+ naturally aspirated horsepower. Hell the S2000 is making what-240? When youre running a stripped car (thats a personal choice by the way) it doesnt take much to get flying (of course this depends on the car...a stripped caddy isnt going to help much).
