96 Sub, Missing lope just at idle

I have a 96 Sub. that has a missing lope just at idle. It runs fine and I have replaced the plugs, plug wires and egr valve. I have ran two bottles of Lucos's fuel injector cleaner and it just doesn't seem to make any difference. One person suggested that the timing may be off. Does anyone have any ideas? I sure would appreciate it.

Timing? UUUUMMM maybe....not. What are the specs. on your burb? I.E. vortec 350, 4x4, a/c, etc.

First, the timing on that engine is NOT adjustible.
A miss at idle that goes away or cannot be felt while driving usually indicates a vacum leak or some kind of internal engine problem causing lower compression in one cylinder.
I would recommend performing a compression test.

I appreciate the post to my thread. I have noticed that when I run any fuel other than 93 octane it runs worse. One thread on here stated that there is a injector problem that can actually make cylinders miss fire. I am going to try this road and see what happens since running higher octane fuel and cleaner helps. Thanks again.

Hello
I just fixed the exact same problem on my 95 5.7 yesterday.Although different injection and ignition. I to had just changed my egr valve a week ago. My problem was small chunks of carbon wedged in the new egr valve holding it open, although Mine did set off the SES light yours might not be bad enough too.

I appreciate your post about your EGR valve. I will certainly take a look at it again.

Thanks again
