Cranks but wont start

I have a 88 bmw 318i. The ground strap from the body to engine came loose and the car quit running. I tightened the strap but now it wont start. Put on new cap, rotor, wires, plugs. Got power to coil but no spark to distributor. Any one got any ideas? thanks for the help
