beams or 3sgte

i was wondering what engine everyone else would get the 1998 + beams engine or the 3sgte? i am guessing the 3sgte engine has a higher capability because the beams has vvt-i but does the beams have a good aftermarket? what is the highest hp made from that engine?

Assuming you are in the U.S., I say go with the 3sgte.
It is a supported engine here, people will know what you are talking about and yo ucan find parts easily.
