My Uncle has a 95' Rivera, which his wife kindly let the oil get way low on. After the engine seized, the excuse was "I was going to get an oil change next Thursday". Anyways we were condsidering trying to find a repacement engine for it. We'd assume all accesories including the supercharger are in working order. Basically I think the ideal thing would be a long block crate motor. Does anyone have any suggestions, as to where to find affordable crate motors, info on possible donor cars would be appreciated to. I belive this is a 3.8 supercharged series II. Also suggestions about how to pull the engine on these. I don't think my uncle has done any swaps since the days of rear wheel drive, and engine compartments big enough you could rent them as studio apartments. I'm interested in this simply because my 98' regal has the smae or simmilar powertrain and i'm interested in learning how it goes together.

95 has series 1, bonniviles came with it too, reman long blocks are about $1200, can get them almost anywhere, motor can be pulled from the top or you can drop everything out the bottom with the cradle, most people go from the top, don't even have to remove the hood
