Stripping Super-Paint?

I call it super-paint because neither CSC or Brake fluid has put a dent in it. The paint is the paint on the prepainted Revell Eclipse metal body kit. Brake fluid took care of the decals and the black window trim just like that, but didn't touch the green base coat. Any ideas of what to use? I'd hate to sand it all off, because 1, that's a lot of work and 2, you sand off detail as well.
I may just paint overtop the existing paint, but since it is already a little thick, I'd rather strip it first.
Before you move this to the DieCast forums, note that I already posted there.

If its a metal body then just get regular paint stripper from the hardware store, will lift the paint in seconds.
Or you could try using a heat gun also.

as long as there is no plastic on it at all, paint thinner works also
