upgrading old cars

I would like to know what manufacturers offer the best upgrade to suspension/steering for old muscle cars. I am going to upgrade my 67 Firebird and 70 Mustang. The Pontiac is first. I want a better ride and better handling. I am looking for a kit with front and rear springs, sway bars, bushings and everything else to make it drive like a modern car.
Camaro parts should fit for this.
For the Mustang, I would like to replace the old steering assist set-up. It seems sloppy and always wants to leak. I think someone might make a conversion to replace it with a rack and pinion unit.
Also, the Mustang used to have AC but when I got it all the under hood stuff was gone. The Firebird never had it. Are there any places that can hook an old car up with modern AC?
I would like to hear from people who have used these things and get reviews good and bad. This stuff is kind of expensive and I would like to avoid wasting money and effort.

You should really try and figure out your own preference, since everyone has their own opinions. But you could try Edelbrock for starts. Or look in a Jegs catalog..There are many aftermarket parts for the older cars, just run a search or something.

Look at their G-MACHINE kits.

For the AC and steering, try the custom rodder sites and, perhaps the magazines.

I've bought parts from these guys before, Performance Suspension Technology. They worked pretty well.

Yeah PST is good too, but quite a bit more expensive than performance suspension. It's the same quality stuff too, nothing is generic or cheap.
