I got an alarm put in to my 91 civic hb..its a good alarm except now the tail lights dont turn on when I use my headlights and the cluster (speedometer, tach, fuel, etc) panel wont turn on either...I took it back to the shop and they said its my switch that is messed up....do you know where I can get a few wiring diagrams? (with color code) oh and they do work when I break(tail lights)...and both lights will go off when I turn the alarm on/ off...
thanks...

You need to have this alarm shop make it right again..they have messed your wiring up...If they refuse then sit across the street from the shop with a big sign on your car tellling everyone they messed up you car...That works...trust me

Did this happen the day they installed the alarm? I have no idea other than maybe they cut thru a wire or knocked off a ground. Those Hondas are so simple. It's just one wire for parking light flash.

I have asked them to check it out and they tried to tell me that the actual switch on the car is what is wrong...I know they did something..I was just wondering what wire connects the headlights to the tail lights..its a bitch driving at night...I have a fixit ticket to deal with...I know there is someone that can tell me what to look for...do any of you install alarms? I am already planning on giving that shop some payback...and me some ice....karma is a bitch..
thanks

Well, there is ONE wire they have to use for light flash. It is a red/green wire that comes down from the colum where the switch is. This is a very simple system to patch into. I have no idea how they say it is the switch because if it turns on the front parking lights then it should be turning on all the lights. Usually when you have the front lights working and not the back, you have a ground problem somewhere in the rear but you also say that the dash lights don't work either which then does sound like a switch problem or a problem with a stereo install.
p.s. Yes, I do install alarms for a living.
thanks
