4th gen engine

Hi, I have a V6 3.8 L engine but i was wondering what kind of engine. I've heard terms like LS1 and LT1 but I'm not sure what mine is. Someone please tell me.

Both of the ones that you have listed are V8's. The LT1 was used in 93-97 F-bodies, and LS1's were used in 98-02 F-bodies. Your V6 is a Series II 3.8L. As for the engine code, I've never thought about it before, so I don't know that...
