Rattling under hood...and Trans Grind...

Anyone know what it might be?

Its only whenever I'm in a gear. When I have the clutch pressed down there's no rattle, but whenever I am pressing the gas, or have the gas pedal released and cruising, the rattling pretty much goes with the sound of the engine. As I go faster, the rattling picks up. I just had my Trans fluid flushed and filled, and I use 92 octane "premium" gas. Any ideas?

Also, First gear sometimes grinds unless I press the clutch slowly, 2nd gear always grinds once my car warms up, and 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear sometimes don't "open up", so I have to release and push the clutch again to let it get into gear. I'm probably not using proper terms and description, but I hope somebody can help me out.

how old is the clutch... it might be time to change it, also your throw out bearing could be goin out. not positive without hearing or driving it but from some of the details you gave i would guess its one of them!

u think it might be the clutch itself? i don't know when its been changed... i just bought it like that, ive only had it for like 4 months. i was hoping it wasn't the transmission, unless i need to replace that too :(

you might wanna check into getting new tranny and clutch system. i had same prob in my car and i kept driving it and all of a sudden all my gears busted out of the casing of the tranny... sorry to say but u might need to change that tranny too...

found out it was my motor mounts... a couple are cracked, and one is broken. NOT good ;) Another thing, tranny is behaving a little better... now its just the 2nd gear synchro that's out. Guess I'm gonna have to rebuild the tranny or buy another ... :(

i also have a crackling near the throttle body... its at the connection of the ISC. I think I'm gonna have to buy another one, that's probably why my idle is all over the place sometimes...
