Well currently I have a 2.5" custom cat-back exhaust which I am really pleased with. I am running my stock cat however have no resonator and I am looking to get a resonator and add it to my exhaust, and still keep my cat. My friend has a Catco hi-flow cat that he said he'd sell me for 30-35 bux brand new and said I could just put this in instead of a resonator. I don't know much so is this possible or should I just stick a resonator in or what? Thanx a lot guys.

catcos are nice i got one and am happy with it. I say also get a res mang it'll be better that cat won't act like a good res would. Cherry boms or purple hornies afterburner etc all work well

What he said is basically use my stock cat still but where the resonator would be, instead put the catco cat there. Would that work or what? Im about to go to a couple muffler shops and talk to them about prices but I wanna know what u guys think first. In essence running 2 cat's.

Well I went to the muffler shop that put on my exhaust and talked to them and what they are going to do is put in a glasspack somewhere inbetween my catalic converter and muffler. With the cost of the glasspack and instal and tax he said its gonna come out to around 65-70 bux.
Currently i have a 2.5" cat-back exhast custom with mandrel bends flowing through a Focuz 3.5" muffler. It is pretty loud and the reason i am doing this instead of just sticking my silencer in is that when my silencer is in my exhaust sounds like a high pitched weed-whacker. With the glasspack it won't make it all raspy and shit will it, it should just quiet it down and be deeper more than raspy, right? Just trying to make sure before i spend 70 bux. Everyone's opinions are welcome.

with 2.5 inch pipe, your almost guarentted to have DEEP sound... unless you have a wimpy 1.75 inch stock cat that acts like a kazoo... i would have just got a catco hiflo and a cherrybomb... it would get sooo deep and much quieter with the resonator..
oh yah, im not shur how much straight pipe there is under the sedans, but if you want almost 0 interior noise and deep outside, run one of these under the car like 4 inches behind the cat...

its HUGE.. it will make interior noise almost disappear and it will get much quieter outside

Well today I got the glasspack installed today and man do i love it. It took away all the raspy-ness and is nice and deep and smooth. I love it 20 times more than it was, not so annoyingly loud...a nice smooth rumble. Well worth the money.
