Trans Am Purchase

Hi there. I am new to these forums and am looking for some help. I am looking to purchase an 89 Trans Am GTA to put some work into soon and am on a very tight budget. I was wondering what good resources are out there for purchasing it. I am aware of the main ones (autotrader, cars.com, ebay etc) but was hoping for some other options. Also, is there anyting I should know about this veichle in particular when purchasing (design flaws, recalls etc)? And is this a good choice? I am definatly looking for a third generation f body, I like the TTA turbo inparticular but can't afford it. Thanks for the help.

When your looking at the car before buying it, heres a tip if you live in an area where salt is used on the roads. One of the most common places for rust on third gens is on the lower rear quarter pannels between the door and the rear wheel opening. If the car has T-tops, look under the strip of metal in the center of the roof where they slide into, it is another common spot for rust.
