stereo power wire

k i finally got all my wiring for my stereo... and im wondering where i should run my power wire, where is the easyest (sp?) place i can run it?? also, can yall tell me how/where to get the stock deck out?? k thanx

The easiest place to run the power wire through the firewall would be through the steering boot.. thinger.. whatever the hell it's called. Just wrap a coat hanger around it, and push the wire through, then snatch it up in the engine bay and pull it throught. then run it under the carpet next to the door to wherever you mount your amp. too easy.

As far as taking out the stock deck. pop out the little plugs holding in the panels around it. find the screws, I think there's about 6 of them, unscrew them, and pull it out. it's pretty self explanitory once you get goin you can figure it out. Good luck

allright thanx, i was trying to pull off my damn fender, i found like 10 bolts, but the damn thing wont come off... i guess ill bolt em back up thanx

You are pulling your fender to install the stereo?

I put mine through a rubber plug on the passenger side.

well i was going to run my power wire down the fender and drill a hole to run it through.. but i just took it, ran it up by the windshield, down the door jam, drilled a hole, and pulled it thru. itll do, anybody got a wiring skematic (sp?) so i can wire this biatch up.. ive never wired up a deck before, help plz

You did way the hell too much work. You can go through the firewall in 2 minutes, and no tools. Your new deck will come with a wiring diagram, nobody else can tell you what it is, they are brand specific.

well i was looking forever, i couldnt find any holes in the firewall, and all the wiring going into the firewall was grommetted with wireing allready thru it, my way didnt take too long, just me being a noob. so how hard is it on a scale of 1-10 for wiring up a deck.. im fairly skilled with electonics and shit

wiring up a deck is one of the easiest things ive ever done. Almost all of the wires from the cd player should color match up to the wire harness (atleast all of mine have). just wire it up plug it in and mount everything back and your good to go
