After some houres it looked like this

The roof is cut off and I made a convertible boot by making the AMT '62 Impala boot 1 mm shorter.

The trunk with three pumps, 4 dumps, 1 amp and 2 10" subwoofers (the second will be at the other side).

It will get some gold daytons

and dark metallic green with white interior.

I hope to find a better engine and start painting it tomorrow.

Very cool. I like the choice of paint for the car. I'm sure it'll look great on there. Nice work cutting the top off. Keep us posted, and good luck.

Two shots of the chassi painted. The paint realy sparkle this much, looks realy cool. And it didnīt take some months to dry like testor color do, it was rockhard in some days!

I couldnīt use the windshield frame on a covertible. So I cut it off and started looking for a new one.

And after looking at the pics I took at the show last weekend I saw this. Donīt know how many times I looked at it at the show and didnīt see that it has a '62 bubble top (not sold in '63). It looks just like it was made that way.

So I dug out a '61 Impala convertible and stole the windshield frame and windshield. Fits almost perfect, just had to make the side windows a bit shorter.

I have also chromed a lot of parts like the frame and suspention, the pumps and some engine parts.
I hope to start painting the body tomorrow.
