hi, I was curious about all the guys here whom have GTR's and have done a single turbo conversion on their twin turbos. I've always read that twin turbos are better than one big turbo and also I assume it would be since the skyline GTR came with a twin turbo instead of its single turbo GTS. so Why is it that some people switch from twin to single turbo?? is there an advantage to this?? I'm sure many others must be curious about this too, thanks.

not always true.
going to a single turbo means more boost, but more lag.
you can make HUGE power from a single, depending on the car.
this is true on supras, for sure.
from what i've read on the skylines, though, street cars can make just as much power on a pair instead of one.
singles are for BIG power cars, but not the rule.

More GTR will run twins, because they make some very good bolt on turbos.
Single are more effecient 3% or so, and singles will weigh less, so that is another bonus.
