What kind of trany fluid should I put in a '96 5spd 2.0 Jetta?

i believe it is the same as engine oil, but let me talk to someone and get back to you... don't put nothing stupid in there though. are you sure it is low? was the seal leaking?

Manual transaxles take 75W-90 gear oil, synthetics or blends are okay.
