civic hatch strut bar?

My friend has a 91 civic hatch cx. Will the strut bar fit over (or under) the bulky "pgfi" unit by the intake manifold? I see the strut bars are listed as just "88-91 civic front strut bar". Any help will be appreciated...

over it never should put the engine strut bar under anything...

I just meant that I didn't know how the strut bar would go across to the other side. I wasn't sure if they were made to go over the pgfi unit b/c it looks like the hood would hit the strut bar if it was fitted over the pgfi. I just want to know if any 88-91 civic front strut bar would fit on the hatch (I'm not sure if all civics have the "bulky pgfi unit".

this is my engine bay, my strut bar hits the hood but only in one spot, if u look at the dark spot on the bar, thats where it rubs, i'm gonna just put a dent in the hood suport thing to fix this
