hey i was just wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions for an exhaust system... my stock system has developed quite a large hole and i figure since i have to repair it, i might as well spend the extra money for a performance system. but i was wondering what to go with... i've heard good things about flowmaster, borla, slp... but is there anything better out there? what would give me the best results?

the main question is how much are you willing to spend?
P.S. im gonna assume it's a 5.7 LT1?

sadly its not... its a 3.4 v6... eventually i'm doing an engine swap to an LT1, but i still need to find a tranny for it, and a few more dollars to buy the tranny... and then whatever else i need to finish it up... but until then i'm just gonna give my little baby v6 some pickup

Go with Borla my friend. I have a 95 bird LT1, and when i bought her it came with a Borla cat back installed. I have two other friends with birds, basically same engine, and one has a flow master and the other has a dyno..? something. But seriously, ive never heard one sound meaner than the Borla. Maybe its just my opinion......but "respect my authorita". :) Hope i helped. :pimp:

i went to borla's website but i couldnt find an exhaust system for the 3.4L, only the 3.8 and the 5.7... would the one for the 3.8 fit? b/c if not it looks like i'm goin with flowmaster since i cant find anything else that is meant for the 3.4

ok... i retract my previous statement... borla indeed does make a system for the 3.4... but its only a cat-back... any recomendations about headers/y-pipe?

Yea, i thought you might have overlooked that. I dont know about the headers and Y pipes to be honest. Mine were already installed before i bought it, so i never researched that deparment. I know that Ebay has a good selection if you are looking for inexpensive and nice and not pricey and professional racing stuff.

For the headers, do a search for them on the the Summit Racing website. http://www.summitracing.com/ I think that they are made by Pace Setter.
