i want to turbo my car, but?, i have an auto matic? do you think which is the best option for me? here's my plan.

1.) turbo my d16y8 ex engine with automatic trans. spends about 3-4 gran.

2.) swap a 2000 si engine b16a2 with manual trans? about same price bec it's easier to swap bec i have an 2000 ex.

3.) my engine is still 55000 i think! wait until my engine die before do the swap?and i still ow 11000 gran for my car!

if i'll gonna sell my car still have to do payments for the new car, will
keep it until fully paid ,then do swap or turbo?or dump it in the future? i you have the same choices to make?

if i were you i would first, check the warrenty with the car, if you won't have any problems with that, i would defenitly swap in the b16 w/ manual transmission, because 5-spd's are twice as fun, and have more performance and power, plus even if you swapped the engine, the overall value of your car would increase, and if you decided to sale it, the resale value would be higher

im thinking about after paying of my car and i probobly have a high milage car 100,000 or more, then do the swap! this will be my best option. my car payment end like nov.17 2007! 3 years more? not bad! then do all that shit for my car! ---no more car payment in the future--- end up just paying for my house!!!!

You could just leave it stock and save your money for more real-world things, sometimes I wish I would have. But if you gotta spend money, do a swap.

Pay off your car first. 3 years isn't long, hell by then you might have enough stashed away to swap right after you're finished paying it off, then all your money can go towards the turbo kit.

Yeah, leave it stock and pay off the car first. I had plans of modding my car but decided to keep it stock first. Pay it off, then when its paid off and gotten quite a few miles...thats when I'll do my swap.

I agree with everyone else. Save your money and pay the car off first, before boosting it or swapping or anything. For one, it's not worth dumping the money into it, when it will get repo'd, mods and all, if you lapse on payments. Secondly, a swap and turbo is a lot of money to spend. You need to think if this is truely where you want your money to go. Ricochet isn't the first person I know who has sometimes wished he had saved his money for other things. Either way, it's a lot of money to spend. It's not uncommen for people to sit down one day and think, OMG, I've spent over 10K in mods on this thing. The point is, all the stuff you do to a car, adds up. It's best to pay the car off first before really messing around with it. 3K for a swap and 3-4K for a turbo is a lot of money, money that could be spent paying off the car so you own it outright. 3 years from now if you want to swap still, then go for it, but maybe by then you'll have something else you'll want/need to spend your money on. This will give you time to think about where you really want your money to go, instead of doing an impulse buy on your car becuase it's your current flavor of the month.
