It's old classic car, '66 VW Beetle. Kit is from Tamiya.
Body is painted but not clear coated yet while part of engine is assembled and mounted on chasis. Some wireing is preperas for distributor which came latter.

Aaaah, that's cool to see another beetle built :grinyes:
This one was painted when you painted your R34, if I remember correctly?
You did a very good job so far, I really can't wait to see it finished.
I like to see that somebody is putting wires on the flat4 engine. It's a nice engine that Tamiya made and it deserves some details. I'll try to find you some reference pics and will send the links this afternoon.
Have you planed some modifications for the rims and chassis? Will it be lowered?
Xav

Thank you Xav!
Color is little different than on Skyline, it's little lighter. You can see it on engine chasis.
I have good references which I took from friend's old Beetle. It's little rusty but I took all photos which I need from it.
I will don't make any mods because I didn't find any aditional parts to convert it to nice street cars which I saw on streets many times ( wide fenders, wide rims and other things,...). So it wil be some old classic with some additional details.

Ok Zelijko, no problem if you have all the necessary pics.
If you want some really classic rims for your beetle, I have some Porsche (Fuch) rims for you. That's what we often see on RestoCal Vw's. I give them to you for free so PM me if you are interested.

Great engine bay. But this can't be a Beetle, where's all the rust? ;)
A friend actually had one exactly like that, hers had Fresian Cow pattern door cards and seats!

I've also seen a few with rust, but then again, I live in Wyoming where there is snow and salt on the roads about 3/4 of the year.

Here Lapland, Finland we have lots of snow, but here arent salt.
If you go 200km to south there is salt. Here in Lapland VWs dont have rust.
All cars have rust some have less and some more, and that
"VWs dont have rust" is joke.

Arrrgh, soooooo nice :naughty:
I like it so much
Just one little advice:
- maybe do a blackwash in the rear engine grill and front dual grill (near the hood)
- a blackwash in the VW logo on the top of the hood
- drill and put some black in the exhaust pipes
It would add some litlle important details to the model.
PS: It was raining when you took the pics? :lol2: :icon16:
