Lowrider Entry...70' Impala

Here's my entry for the contest. It's an older release of the amt 70' impala. It has it's problems, but I like the challange. For instance the body was twisted, so i soaked it in warm water to straighten it up. worked a little bit.

Here's the paintjob so far. It's tamiya blue and i threw in a couple coats of flake. By the way...this car has NO CLEAR on it. :naughty:

I tried telling my friend that 70s look good on small wires, so he put 20"s on it :(

yea..i'm not from the "durty souf"..lmao..i would never put big rims on classic. I'm planning on an all lifted look...so cylinder's are gonna be a must have item..

I got the interior painted..and i'm flocking now. Just have to do some detail to the dash and the interior will be done :biggrin:

damn, where can I get the escalator? I want one, cheap, have already gotten the silverado 99 c1500 ext cab to add the motor and chassis to the escalade, just need one! Good luck with all your projects.

lol, the only reason the body was warped was because it was such an old kit (the old release) but i fixed it and it's perfect now :)

haha The ghettomiser with a twisted chassis on his car. Does sound ghetto but it also just sounds like AMT...

i would post some flicks but i haven't done much more to it other than layed the carpet (flocking)...waiting on chrome to come back to me before i start on it again

really?? i changed them all over to my fotki account (screw imagestation) so they should be working now

Bad news!! talked to my chromer today and she said my stuff wouldn't be done till march 2nd...i'm gonna try to talk them into squeezing it in before that, but if not than this car will still be finished :)

yep, usually the turnaround time is 2 weeks, but she called and said they were pretty swamped...but i'll still finish it even though it might not make the deadline
