Today after school I walk to my car to find that someone has splashed mud all over it and put a few empty pop cans and some candy wrappers on the hood and roof. I know its nothing serious, but it still pissed me off, so Im jw, what do you guys do when someone messes with your car like this? Just get mad and brush it off, or take action?

That is probably the best advice overall. The further you park from normal pedestrian traffic areas, the harder it is for them to mess with your property. Most asswipes are too lazy to walk the extra 20 feet.

I had a nice car in school and I parked as far as I could from everyone else. If there were no good parking areas, I would often park my vahicle in the nearby supermarkets parking lot.

Keep your cool, don't accuse anyone, and there is a good chance that someone with get tired of the fact your not walking around pissed and they will ask something like "how did you like your car".

THEN you kick his ass.
[edit: I just saw the friend part. Kick his ass. friends don't fuck with friends cars. Period. A car is the most expensive thing many people own. It is part of their overall identity in many cases. I would find that intolorable.]

The car is a 99 Civic EX Coupe, here are a couple pictures of it:

Anyway, I would get back at the kid, but we're only sophomores in hs, and hes only 15, so no car for him for a while. I think Im gonna have problems like this occasionally, because the fact is not many kids in 10th grade have nice cars or even licenses for that matter, so there is a certain jealousy factor. Anyways, Ill just take your guys' advice and park far away in an empty section of the parking lot, away from all the student traffic.

Don't get mad, get even...

People like to key cars as well, parking away from anyone is the best idea.

If someone would mess around with my car then I would just get mad if I didn't know who did it but if I do know who did it then I would probably punch the guy in the face or mess around with his car.

I would burn out and go pretend i was going to run em over, and say if they messed with my car again, I'll run em over next time...

And do people think your Civic is a nice car? I don't think it's a jealously factor, I think because your friend is just being an asshole and you need to teach him something called RESPECT

I've got a friend that used to do shit like that to me all the time. He even went so far as to completely wrap my car in police tape. So to get him back, I went to his house in the middle of the night, took all of the wheels off of his car, and left it sitting on blocks. The best part was that his parents watched me do it, and sat there laughing! He had to come to my place the next morning to get his wheels back(his parents told him it was me) He was a little pissed, but he got over it and we made a truce to stop screwing with each other's cars.

'm with burnM. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it if it was just a friend screwing around. I know some people at my school who do that type of shit to each other, and to them its not a big deal. As long as there is no long term damage.

I would say either talk to him and say you don't think its cool when he does that, or get him back. Of course that could start something and you might end up cleaning your car a lot.

I went to his house in the middle of the night, took all of the wheels off of his car, and left it sitting on blocks.

:lol2: That is such a classic! Also draining all of the fuel from the gas tank or plastic wrapping the whole car.

if someone did something like that and i did know who it was i would prolly kick there ass and if it was a friend i'd give him a warning and if he ever went near my car i would kick his ass. if you want to prevent this from happening than park somewhere else further away from people

O'mike...Funny you should mention that, he did the same to another buddy and forgot that he works in shipping!
As long as the car isn't f***ed up, or the paint isn't scratched, it's no big deal. It is a piss off, but if you retaliate too much, it'll just snowball.
When I was 15/16, I bought myself a truck. It needed work, but it was mine. I worked hard to put away the money for it. Took me about 6 months to pay for it. I parked it at my brother's place because he wanted to help me work on it. He went away for a weekend, and when he came back he called me with a sad sounding voice. I went over and found my truck sitting on flat tires with smashed windows, dents all over the place, scratches along the length of the body, and a couple of metal pipes in the bed. It was not insured yet. I don't care if I'm 90 when I find out who did it. I'm gonna send him/them to the hospital!

If it's a friend, and no permanent damage was done, why get angry?

The police tape vs wheels one cracked me up. If you guys fool around like there, there's no harm done. It's when keying and scratching etc come into play that you start getting angry.
