Oil Pressure Sensor location?

My Oil Pressure Guage is having siezures and bounces from one end to the other. I have the Haynes book and have looked where they say the location of the sensor is, but I can't find it. :screwy: I looked all around the oil pan where it said it should be, but no luck. :banghead: Any thoughts where they are hiding it? Should I even really care? Will it cause downstream problems?

95 Grand Cherokee Limited (Orvis Edition), 5.2L

Thanks,

Same thing is happening with mine - 95 Orvis - it's been doing it for a couple years with apparently no adverse effects.

It is located at the back of the engine behind the intake manifold next to the distributor cap.

I am having the same problem also.

Is it easy to replace on my own?

Does it require me to change the oil filter?

No you don't have to change the filter. it is easier to c if u take the Sparks Plug wires off the Distributor cap, it is on the passenger side of the cap. right next to the EGR valve.
