Keyless entry (on drivers door)

I recently purchased a used 1997 Ford Taurus and the previous owner had never used the remoted entry keypad and did not know the combination. Of course, I did not get an owners manual with the car either. Does anyone know if it is possible to reset the code for the keypad?

Thanks

Vinny

Hey Vinnywolf
some places to look for the code are:
On certain docs that came with the car (owners manual/warranty card
On the computer, which could be under the dash or on top of the radiator support or in the luggage compartment, to name a few places. If you find the computer module you may find the 5 digit number covered with black tape.
On a sticker on the underside of the trunk lid
On a sticker taped to the left quarter trim panel in wagons.
It also aparently on the keyless entry module which is in my case (my wagon) is supposed to be in the rear left by the spare...I haven't found it yet!

I was in the same situation and the manual said it was written on the computer module. I called a dealership to ask them where it was and they told me it's under the dash right above the accelerator pedal. I found it (it's a tough place to see into, lots of twisting around) and it was written on a piece of paper, no tape covering it.
