1 front left
1 front right
1 back left
1 back right.

I know this isn't a lowrider forum, just to touch on the switch topic real quick-

Most of the time 4 or 8 switches is enough. Some setups have gone as crazy as 32 and I've seen this myself. The only thing the number of switches determines is ease of different moves. If the car is a front hopper it can do with just two switches, one to lift either front or rear. The front switch would be the one most used for hopping the front obviously. Setups with 16 switches usually are split to 4 switches per wheel. This way the user can make the car dance with total control of each wheel.

Either way, 4 switches alone can control each wheel but then you would need to activate all 4 simultaneously to make the whole car go up or down evenly (pancake). There's so many moves that additional switches can help you out with like pancakes, three wheels, and bunny hops. For the guys that compete it's more important than to the regular street cruiser or show car. Mostly you can go with as many switches as you want, doesn't necessarily mean you need them all.

Happy modeling, nice ride BTW.

86_SR5
02-09-2004, 05:08 PM
that's alot of switches....32, I say if your good you should only need 4, and can do moves as complicated as what you can do easily on 32, however, I much rather bags, over pumps, that's just me.

EMAXX
02-09-2004, 06:17 PM
Dang. Once you get up to about 32 switches, it just get confusing. One wrong move, and there goes your body, or bumper. Most of the lowriders that I've seen just have about 4-8 switches to keep them simple.
The cool thing to do with the model would be to acutally make the switches functional. I might have to try that once I get better at modeling.

no, but bags are cool, cause you can slamm the ass and throw sparks :evillol:Take's alot of body droping, channeling the cab and a huge cnotch to get it that low, but once you do you can grind the frame down :iceslolan :evillol: :evillol: :evillol:

Josh

That's why there's a company that makes solid titanium triangular pieces that are welded onto the frame, you can take a grinder to them with a very rough grit for hours on end at the highest speed possible. All that has happened is the paint has been scraped off.

Now, back on topic, lowcrome, thought about a pearl white top to go with that redish body?

Josh

Most cars won't three wheel as good on bags as hydros but you can get the car into the stance. There's a new body Celica in my crew that barely lift the wheel. That's with 18's. If she got the ghetto momentum she'd definitely have that thing 3-wheel. Here's a pic of her car at Global last August. My car is to the right.

http://www.nwnismo.com/events/AUG23/058.jpg

As far as switches-to-moves ratio is concerned. That's going to matter a lot on your set-up. Dumps per pump and number of pumps. You can't just say "do all these moves with a standard set-up".
