Tranny Problem, please address

I've driven my '94 3 cyl automatic a grand total of 3 times in the past year and each time I do, it wants to start in second gear instead of first. I need to drop the stick into 1st when I start going. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Outlook not good. Your post was #666, lol. Well, sounds like ya might need a tranny flush, or to change the tranny filter. Most likely, it's not getting enough hydraulic pressure to automatically go into 1st. Check the tranny fluid. Should look like cherry kool-aid. If it's dark, or looks orange, it's toast. Could just be low on fluid too, always check the level with the car on.
