Progress: SAS 400R

So far, I cutted out all the stock body part and fitting the SAS kit on. Also it got some changes on the front. I enlarged the intake, where the "GTR" badge is, and thin the bottom lips alittle. You can compare them in the picture(not the lips).

Engine will be install but I don't have alot of time working on model. I have none of the engine parts done, so no pics.

What body color should I paint?? I'm thinking of blue or red.

I agree with Ales, go with red.

The 400R doesn't need anything, just use white LM-GT1's, carbon rear wing and the 400R pinstriping (like on the real version), and it will look good. And if your engine looks like the one in your R34 (so detailed), then it will be awesome.

Definately go for red like the one in the brochure, besides I want to make a blue one (there's nothing wrong with it Jay!) as its the only one that made it into the UK.

Another Skyline? I'm sure it'll be amazing like all of the others. I personally think red, or blue would look pretty good. Or mix them, and get purple.

OK. I'll make it red and the rims are aoshima LM-GT1. Now I'm think of engine part. Should I make aftermarket intake, something like the one on the r34, or stock intake.

Sprayed in Italian Red. Still no engine part done yet.

This was on hold while I was building the Xanavi. Now I can start it again b/c the xanavi is almost done.
I repainted the body b/c I over sand some area. Now I need to polish it.
Got some putty work in the engine bay area but need some clean up work. The chasis will be white; most of the 400R are white base.

Exactly...Its soo easy to sand through tamiya paint. I had this problem with my porsche two days ago, had to repaint the whole front bumper and clear coat the whole car since the masking tape lifted the clear coat. :disappoin Im sure this one will be just like your Xanavi GTR-34 :)

and just for a suggestion.. why not u make a lil bit more skirting on the side so may be it can be a combined SAS and ur very own side skirts :)

no, shes saying that most of teh 400R's were originally a white base coat and were later painted the colors they came in, so most of the chasis would b white

Painted the engine but need more detail paint job on it. The intake manifold is kind of off because it is not glue on yet. It need some wiring on it first; +more plumbing to the intercooler.

Yes, this is the tamiya R33 with the SAS 400R body kit. I made both of the intake. They are just made from different color tree, but I will paint them.

that's an IDEA...but it maybe better if the lines are cut deeper...and not to forget...you are crazy :icon16: wahahahaha

At last some one who builds a R33 with full engine detail. I´ve seen loads of R34 with engine but never a R33....

You never cease to amaze me. Beautiful work, and great thinking with the plastic tree.

Added some details to the engine and modified the fuel lines. Painted the intake filter and dirty it up so it looks like used.
