clutch adjustment?

i bought a std hatch during the summer and found a dx that had a blown motor but good tranny. so i took that car and swaped the engine from the std into the dx with the dx tranny.
anyways from the start i have never been able to get any kind of launch form my car all it does is rev up then slowly go's.
but when i drive it normaly the cluch grabs fine. im confused about this.
is my clutch shot or is there some other problem??
any info would help thanks.

My dad did a clutch adjustment on my moms mustang like a few months ago (she has a cable clutch also) and he said it just makes your clutch a little stronger. He said all it is, is that you push the clutch all the way to the floor with your hands and then pull it back out past the point where it usually goes until it clicks. I wouldnt do it until you get advice from a pro though, I dont know too much in that department.

Well I'm just tryin to help him out, and plus it wasnt really advice that I gave, I wuz just sayin what my dad did to my moms mustang.

All you do is turn the plastic nut on the clutch cable where it attaches to the arm on the tranny. Not a big deal.
