Does Anyone Know what kinda power the stock crank for a 1 g motor can take? I hear the the internals are good for 450 hp. I think the limiting factor is the rods and pistons. But what about the crank? Also does anyone know if they offer a Hi-performance crank? Ive searched the internet over and over and the only internals i come up with for these motors is hi-po rods and pistons, Why no hi-po 4340 crank?

Bushur runs 7s, at 175 mph or so. DSM motor. At any rate, I think everyone is running stock cranks, as I am not aware of one single aftermarket option ;) Though eagle is allegedly coming out with one.

i heard all internals including the crank will hold 500whp. but if u ever had that much hp i think i would replace it anyway.

Aftermarket crank is going to cost you a bunch of money. When there are experts running on stock, don't bother with it. That is of course, unless you plan on running faster times than professionals.

Jsut for poeple not familiar with this crank, its another stock crank from mitsu. Same as ours with with 12mm more stroke, from the 2.4 found in some galants and hyundais.

The FFWD crank linked to above is a stock crank as well.

Again I know of no aftermarket options if there are any, except perhaps eagle, which I dont believe is even out yet if it in fact exists.
