unlocking 3rd gen with slim jim

okay..... so i locked my only set of keys in my car like a dumbass , i from what i could read about the locking rod its on the other side of the window so it makes it kinda hard , if anybody has had to do this before , would you suggest anything?

dont use a slim jim, they dont work, you wind up breakin shit. if you have T-tops, and leave them unlocked, use a coat hanger, slide it in between the window glass and weather strip, andpush the handle inward, and lift the T-top off. if you dont have T-tops, and can find a long enough rod, use the same method of entry, and try to push the lock button with the rod from outside the car, thats how the tow truck guy will do it.

haha this thread is soo old but ya slim jims do NOT work on 3rd gens you will break your lock (well not the lock but it will break) i just ended up using a rebar through the window to unlock the other door

you can just do what i did a few days ago and get a piece of metal rod that is hooked on the end, work it down between the weather stripin and window (CAREFULLY) and just open pull out on the door handle...door will open
