Stock vs stock, the 3G is faster than a GST, 1/4 mile-wise anyway.
I love my car. I dont have problems with it, and it extremely powerful. These cars feel like they were built to be turbo'd. It just feels so natural, like the engine loves it.
If I could go back, I wouldn't change a thing. But, the path to getting where I am wasnt easy. Having a car that has little aftermarket support like we do is rough hen you want to go fast.
Bottom line, if you want something that is quick that you really dont have to put much effort or thought into, I'd take that money and make a down payment on an SRT-4, or keep looking for a GST or GSX.

The 3G dynos to about 170-175whp (for a 5-speed) with an equal or more amount of torque (I have proof of this for who whoever challenges this, so dont bother). The 2G GST weighs in at 2900+, and the 3G is 3100+, depending on trim. However, the torque is a lot higher, and torque is what wins races.
I love the 2G, and will never say that it sucks or talk trash. That is not my intention here. But those who go around saying the 2G is "so much better of a car than the 3G" are just flat out ignorant and wrong. The 3G has tons of potential that only people who actually reasearch it and inquire about it know about. My car is a perfect example. Not meaning to brag here, but I am running 5psi and I run low 13's. Try and do that in a GST.
