concept K5 from chevy

hey guys, visitor here from the camaro forum, just found out about chevys concept on the K5 blazer. wondered what yall thought about it. personally i think they should ditch the third and fourth doors, make it a full convertable like the older blazers, instead of just having a open rear compartment, and make it production. perhaps with a redesigned front end. i hope it turns that way, and makes it into production, how bout you guys?

I think that kicks butt, and would make an excellent ride. What are the odds that GM will actually turn that into a production vehicle though.

dunno, guess it depends on how many of us write them and say DO IT!!!!! :) sweet friggin camaro by the way, that girl is hot. dunno if you have heard, or are a camaro guy, but there are rumors that there is a next gen camaro being built on the GTO chassis, dont know about everyone else, but im excited.

Thanks for the compliments. I have heard that Chevy is thinking about basing the new Camaro on the GTO. I think its great in drive train aspect, but I sure hope it looks more like a camaro, then the GTO does a GTO.

agreed on that one. although a 70 chevelle based concept on the GTO chassis is appealing as well.

The big factor would be the price. They can't expect to release a new Camaro or Chevelle and expect people to want to spend $35-40K for them.

I think if the GTO were 8 thousand less, it would crush the mustang in sales.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but the K-5 concept truck got axed a while ago. If I remember correctly, GM felt that it didn't appeal to a large enough audience. GM needs a GT40, or something like a Viper. Besides the Corvette, they make no real 'enthusiast' cars, and in my opinion are losing out big time. :2cents:

BLAST!!!!!!! foiled again. as far as a GT40 competitor, the next gen LS6 should give gm what its looking for. the vette has already been running with the others with far less hp, and now its going to get close to if not the same power levels, so im optimistic about its performance.
