Planning to sell a 1976 Regency 98

I'm currently in possession of a 1976 Oldsmobile Regency Ninety-Eight that I have to sell as it is to much of a strain on my money supply.

I need an opinion on how much to sell it for.
It has three small patches of body rust near it's fend flares and a single hole about the size of a ping-pong ball on it's drivers door. The paint has a odd streak in it from some sort of chemical. The left taillight got pushed back nearly twenty some years ago and it's tailight housings were busted up in the process. The front seat arm rests have split seams but are repairable.
I think that the main selling point I have is the fact that the car has a 455 'Rocket' in extremely good condition and it is in good shape despite being a South Dakota car (which really can take a toll on a car).

I'm interested in what people think this thing is even worth.

I assume some would argue that the car would be worth about as much as the engine. Try searching traderonline's (autotrader) collector car section for this car.

What exactly about the car is straining your money supply other than the gas? Not having a special knowledge of your vehicle, I'd say offer it at $1500. Not before checking other values, though.

Last summer I purchased a 1976 Olds 98 Regency that seemed in excellent condition, save some body rust. I paid $700 for it, and saved it from being wastefully turned into a derby car.

The car suffered some casualties and so did my wallet, and I was forced to sell it for a measly $250.

If your car is indeed in the condition youi describe, you should be able to get at least $700. I wouldn't ask much more.

If you can't find a buyer, I'd happily take it for $250! :)

If by some chance you or anyone else has a 2-door regency, i'm needing one in reletively decent shape parts. I have my g-mothers 1976 2door thats rotted from sitting out for the past 15-18 years i'm beginning to restore. I need basically the entire back 1/2 of the car.
