hey, iv been just drawing alot lately, and now im hoping to add some color. I have most of the materials i need(at least i think so anyways...), but i was wondering when or where you use the different elements. i think i remember aseanz and other great artists explaining how they use different types of materials on a single drawing. are there certain spots you use pencil, pastel or markers?

anythin would be great, i just want to know as much as i can before i try it on the drawing. i looked on the tutorials that have been posted but must have missed it or didnt see it. everything helps, thanks

ok here we go...

pencils for sketching out the basic lines

pens for tracing the lines

markers for the solid tones-this is the main part of your reflection in most cases

pastels for gradiating tones-sky usually

gauache paint for highlights

those are your basic materials but these are just basic..you can go all out if you want
