I am getting my exhaust done on friday at my local exhaust place. i am getting 2 1/4 incch pipe with an "empty" muffler and atp tips. There doing it like for $310 if you have a well known exhaust shop for good quaility custom exhaust sytems it might not be a bad idea to go there it IS ALOT CHEEPER than the magnaflow. My friend had the same done to his 2.0 lt 99 jetta also it sounds better than the magnaflow. I am in Hamilton, NJ if ur near hear let me know and il let u know the name of the place. :bigthumb:

Go to Tectonic... they make good exhausts... Get a Borla Muffler (Good deep throat) and they also provide high flow cats. Check out online also check out Borla.com. Good luck. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with this choice.

The concensus among many VW enthusiasts is to go TT. Granted they have the best bang for the buck. But there is one thing a lot of people dont consider is how bad they drone. Around 2000 rpm(where you spend most of your driving) its very annoying and on any lengthy drive will put you to sleep. I have the Jetex 2.75in on my VR and its quiet and an excellent performer. The TT is cheaper but louder and under 3000rpm is rather gutless, i know i have driven a few. This is a daily driver, right? Magnaflow is good, but i have a few friends that sold theirs because of how loud they were and bought milltek, very expensive, but very quiet like stock. Happy Motoring.
