Has anybody got a head package? It says adds 58hp to the wheels and costs around 1600 bucks. Thats half the price of a turbo and almost the gains. Just wondering what opinions you guys have about it.

how driveable would the car be using cams with a "racing" grind..?
my bet is: not as much as a turbo car.
Also, 1600 + 500 = 2100 up front.. You could probably build a decent turbo setup for under a grand.

Junkyard turbo baby.. do all the work yourself. The manifold and turbo itself will take up most of the budget.
I plan on doing it after the swap, and if I keep the car. I have been meddling around in information about this for a couple months now. I'll write something up if I do it.

I am in the process of researching about throwing a CT-26 or CT-20b turbo on, along with an upgraded compressor wheel and turbine clip. The biggest problem is the exhaust manifold fitting.
As always, high compression ratio vs the strength of h22 and h23 presents a problem. I imagine any turbo project on a Prelude will require constant dyno tuning with every modification following the turbocharger.

I think a thread devoted to this topic would be a nice addition to the forum. What compressor/turbine/intercooler is best for the h22 and h23, what kind of money should be spent on this project, etc..
Anyone up for a little research?

Check out this website for the homemade turbo recipe:
http://www.cse.uconn.edu/~yelevich/turbo/turbo.html
I can make no claims to its results, cause I've never tried it, but it makes things pretty clear at least.
