P0761 shift solenoid

Anyone have any insight as to what needs to be done with this code?
P0761 - PCM has determined that the voltage signal from shift solenoid "C" indecates inadequate performance or a "Stuck Off" condition.
Car is a 1999 Escort ZX2 ATX
