replacing transmission

hey im pretty sure my transmission is going out, first off, is there anything i should check like tranny fluid and stuff to make sure its infact the tranny that is having problems. I just got a new clutch so i know its not that. And if i do get a new one i was wondering if i can take a second gen 5- speed transmission out of a '98 Eclipse GST Spyder and put it in my 95 eclipse GS. Any help is much apreachiated, thanx!

Fluid is cheap, I would do that before replacing the tranny. And no, you cant use tranny from a turbo car in a NT on 2Gs.

anyone know where i might b able to get a 95 gs tranny? i hear people replace them alot.
