Post turbo install TUNING

I've heard that the toughest part about installing and running a turbo
setup is tuning it to run correctly after its installed. How does someone do the actual 'tuning'? Does the tuning refer to adjusting the fuel system...or does it mean adjusting boost and that sort of thing or both? Help me out here...

adjusting fuel so that you are not running to rich or lean. sometimes a little rich is ok. you do this with a wideband o2 sensor. and then maybe adjusting boost and coming up with a good setting for two boost spots.

there are tons of different things you can use. after reading up on the hondata though, id say its prolly the best unless you wanna go the haltech route.

How are you able to control the fuel with the o2 sensor? Is it not just a sensor? And why do you want 2 boost spots?

And another question. What if you just have a turbo kit in your car with just an FMU, no electronics to manage it. How would you tune it then??

no, you read the o2 sensor to make sure you arent running to rich or to lean, and then you adjust the amount of fuel that gets dumped into the engine to adjust the a/f ratio.

and you could have 2 boost spots say...one for the road...and one for the track.

How do u tune it?

get the electronics, get a s-afc its the cheapest way to tune your fuel, for honda the hondata is also a powerful tunnin tool..but tis more $$
