I just got a 99 si with 24 thousand miles. So far it has a AEM CAI, DC 4-1 header, 5Zigen fireball cat-back exhaust. I also have a nitrous kit to put on, i went with NX and am going to run either 75 or 100 shot nozzles. Anyways what can i do other than Supercharging or turbo to make my car fast.
Thanks for the help

Cams, intake manifold, port and polished head, chipped ecu, and throttle body is a good start. But since you are running nitrous you will have to be selective on the set of cams you buy.:)

Word of advice: Start lower on the spectrum for the nitrous. Start with like a 25 or even 50 shot and see how your engine handles it. If it seems fine, up the ante a little bit. I'd hate to see you blow that engine.

You car will handle 75 shot, but I would NOT go any higher without some more work to your engine. Keep in mind that you will need to retard your timing and run a plug that's 1 step colder (or even 2 steps for safety).
Concentrate next on your ignition system then perhaps your fuel delivery system. No matter what route you go you will always need fuel & spark. FUEL MAKES POWER

I was planning on the port and polish but i decided while i have it apart i should just put in new cams at that time as well. What cams should i go with since ill be spraying and where do i buy them? Also i was thinking about raising my compression to like 10:5:1 or so what do you think of doing that?

Anyone have an opinion or suggestion? please...

Well..if you raise the compression don't do 10.5:1 because your's is already 10.4:1 and raising it by .1 won't do anything.
You can build the bottom end. stronger rods...11.1:1 compression (JE pistons makes good ones) pistons.
Port and polish, cams, better valvesprings, cam gears (tuning), ECU tuning, ITR intake manifold, better throttle body....
there's thousands of things you can do!

I am planning on port and polishing it but i was gonna wait till i found some cams. How good are the JDM typeR cams?

The first thing I would do after the NOS is what addict said, work on the fuel system. Running Nitrous and a stock fuel system will lean it out and you won't get full potential power from your Nittrous. Go with a fuel pump that will put out more, maybe injectors, fuel pressure regualtor, and a fuel rail. Hes right FUEL DOES MAKE HP!!!

Ok heres what i have planned. I am going to port and polish it. Raise my compression 11 to 1, put in the JDM type R cams and install a 75 shot of Nos along with an adjustable fuel pressure regualator and then put in a new ignition system. Does that sound like a good setup? How fast do you think it'll be in the 1/4?
