Personally, I LOVE it!!
It has been called the best design of the year by AUTOMOBILE, and you can see why!
Everything is well proportioned, is beautiful, with lots of subtle things really making it stand out.
It is a wonderful car, and very useful. I wish alfa was still here!:(

I think the styling is subtly bland . . . so subtle in fact, that one may be fooled into thinking that there were some avant garde styling cues involved here . . . and in reality there are none . . .

Take that line that rises slowly from the front fender towards the quarter panel . . . that's nothing new for Alfa Romeo . . . and in my opinion it's getting quite stale.

I'm offended that they have chosen to make a mockery of the public by making the line alternately disappear and then reappear as it travels the side of the car . . .

Ill tell you what: This car is stunning. Everythging comes together well, and there are tons of little styling things. I'll post a pictue when I scan it.

Oh well, everyone is entitled to there own opinion. But this is enough to beg alfa to come back to north America. I mean, in Canada, we still have Lada's, I'd much rather have Alfa here.:)

Driving a Saloon version of this at the moment!

Cool. Just one question, why did you chose the saloon?? Especially since you live over in Europe, where they are fairly popular.

The Sportswagon is fairly new, so not that many about!
But very squeeky, the rear boot always makes a noise on estates!
Don't need one I guess is the real reason!

I always said I would have one if my computer business took off, but after driving this one for a while, I think I would stick to Japanese!

My absolute love in cars is anything that isn't normally in North America, such as European or Japanese home market cars, and the Alfa 156 is one of my favorites. I never thought I'd get to see one in real life until I either open my import dealership or go to Europe, but a couple months ago when I was in California, I saw an Alfa Red 156 saloon in Monterey! I was so excited! Seeing that actually excited me more than the Ferrari's I saw....

A few months ago i saw a silver sports wagon lowered with 18 inch rims with thick lines that looked like a european design. And did it look magnificant:D I was looking at it for around 45 minutes with a mate and the owner thought we were going to steal it.

Peugeot's have pretty neat styling too, but they cant touch the Italians! Didnt you get a 607??

He he I almost forgot I posted here, yeah I got a 607 because it was better built and much quicker, plus more comfortable, it also comes with a sense of uniqueness.....in 2001 40 607's were allocated to NZ, but there are 100's of 156's.......
