I was wondering if anyone could help me with my handbrake. I am trying to adjust that handbrake in my alero but I am not sure how to go about it. I don't know if I will have to take the center console where the handbrake is, off, or if there is an easier way, to do it.

There are two adjuster "screws" inside with the e brake on the inside of the disc assembly the adjustment is pretty easy to do remove the caliper, pads, caliper mount bracket, rotor and you will see where the e brake shoes are, they are kinda like adjusting drum brakes, the adjust ment is either losen or tighten the adjuster "screws" replaced the rotor and if their is any resistance felt remove the rotor and adjust more, when there is only slight resistance felt is the e brake finally adjusted.
