Hey I have a 1990 Toyota Celica GT-S non turbo, with a body kit, exhaust system and a decent sound system. I love the car, but i only wish it was a little faster. I want to do an engine swap. I was wondering if you guys could help me out with some suggestions as to what would work best, i would really appreciate it.
Thanks
Than G.

well, if I were you, i'd go with a 2jzgte.
if thats not fast enugh, than you'll have to get a f16 or somethig

supra motor will work...if youre rich$$$$$...but the best set up and cheap set up is to go with a jdm alltrac motor....roughly about 1300 for the motor...it drops right in to any 90-93 celica....and a 5sfe tranny will work too...as well as the mr2 or camry v6...but the mr2 tranny will be the best way to go just because the stock 93-95 has a factory limited slip diff...

il tell you all i can but the question is do you have the money for it...i spent well over $15k on my motor alone....but thats with the extremely...and i mean extremely rare...carlos sainz rally alltrac motor...tuned for rally but i retuned it for autocross...and its in my 91 alltrac...but with my factory motor i threw that in my 93 GTSn with the 95 mr2 tranny with the lsd...it was awsome....you get all the hp thats rated on the motor to the wheel...i had it dynoed before i sold the car and it was pushing 214 hp to the wheel...just like how the supra is rated at 276hp for u.s spec...but when my cousin dynoed his 98 twin turbo supra,he had 325 hp to the rear wheels...so go with the mr2 tranny...any more questions let me know..ill help all that i can
