hey everyone, my name's jon, obviously i'm new here. uh, a little about myself...i'm now 20(and a half), i built my first engine under my brother's guidance when i was in 8th grade...it's a TPI 305 coupled to a 700R4 and it still runs strong in my '56 chevy sedan. it's quick 'nuf to be fun, but only runs 15's, not fast but a ton of fun! I've been building small block chevy's ever since then, my favorite was a BAD aluminum head full roller 350 for a friends '95 chevy truck on 35" tires and i think it might have lost to two other trucks at the sand-drags out of a thousand.
I've just recently found a '96 GMC full size truck for myself to replace my 4.3L s-10(R.I.P.) those v-6 s-10's are a lot of fun to drive and usefull for a small truck...until you get in a wreck, i seriously almost died and i now have an 18" long titanium rod holding the top and bottom halves of my femur(big bone in the leg) together. the '96 is great! love the vortec engine and everything else, plan to put a 4" lift and 33's and do the basic bolt-ons for the engine(K&N, full exhaust, Hypertech programmer) for now...then when it needs a rebuild i might go crazy and do a 383 with the GM fast burn aluminum heads! :lol2:

uh, also i bought a '62 two-door nova to build up, have the 350 mentioned above from the '95 cause the guy sold his truck and got a '01, so 400hp and a six speed is planned for the nova! along with brakes and suspension to keep up. let me know if you know someone that wants SWEET '62 nova! i wont be able to afford to keep it

anyway, i know my stuff but i have a lot to learn still. i love fuel injection but i'm not affraid of carb's. let me know if you have any questions...if i don't know i'll find out. i'll also be asking a ton of questions cause i'm alway building something new!
